On December 15, the "Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Ecological Forum" held in Xiongan, Hebei Province, unveiled the list of "2024 TOP50 Traditional Chinese Medicine Brand". 50 TCM time-honored brands were finally selected, highlighting the brand model of TCM time-honored brands.
"2024 TCM Time-honored Brand TOP50" is selected by Zhongkang Industry Research Institute based on the TCM time-honored brand development index. The index adopts the quantitative evaluation model of Zhongkang Industrial Research Institute to measure the comprehensive competitiveness of TCM time-honored brands from three dimensions: brand thickness, brand depth and brand breadth.
Traditional Chinese medicine brand is an important carrier of traditional Chinese medicine inheritance, carrying the historical task of carrying forward traditional Chinese medicine culture classics, but also shoulder the historical mission of inheriting traditional Chinese skills. Brand thickness represents the long history of the time-honored brand, which is not only the accumulation of time, but also the recognition of the cultural heritage and technical essence accumulated by the brand in the long history. Brand depth reflects consumers' loyalty to traditional Chinese medicine brands and the public awareness of the brand. The depth of a brand not only depends on the quality and service level of its products, but also is closely related to its image and reputation in the eyes of consumers. Brand breadth represents the extent to which consumers use the brand. The greater the breadth, it means that brand products and services can reach more consumer groups and have stronger market competitiveness.
Among the three batches of time-honored brands identified by the Ministry of Commerce, the time-honored brands of traditional Chinese medicine account for a very important proportion, accounting for more than 170, which is an important source of national intangible cultural heritage. These time-honored brands cover many types, including product brands, retail store brands, wholesale brands and medical institution brands. In the "2024 TCM Time-honored Brands TOP50" list, the average age of time-honored brands has reached an amazing 228 years, highlighting the long history and cultural inheritance of the TCM industry. Tongrentang Brand, Yunnan Baiyao, Pien Tze Huang, Donga and Wong Lao Ji ranked among the top five. It is worth mentioning that Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group has a prominent performance in this list, with the largest number of time-honored brands on the list, with a total of six brands selected. These brands include Wong Lo Keat, Chung I, Chan Lee Keat, Pan Ko Shou, Ho Sui Brand and Stars. Through effective management and strategic development of the time-honored brands, GFC continues to revitalize them.
